Elaine’s First Birthday Party–Presents Galore!
We had a family party on November 6th to celebrate Elaine’s first year of life. Grandma & Grandpa Godby flew in from Denver, and Grandma & Grampa Hamilton drove down from Mass. for the day. We had a “bunny party” because Elaine’s bestest friend is Bunny.
I made bunny cakes. These are for the adults. I made a pink one just for Elaine!
This is Elaine’s cake and the table. As you can see she was spoiled with lots of gifts!
Just waking up from a nap and not too sure about all of those camera flashes!
Still a little shy and uncertain…
The whole family – Elaine, Mommy, and Daddy
Let the party begin! She knew just what to do – get rid of that paper and discover what is inside!
Blocks, baseballs, and a new diaper from Mommy & Daddy…
There’s a story here. My Gramps used to have a miniature horse named Mr. Ed. When my grandparents moved they had to sell Mr. Ed. This super-soft stuffed horse was Gramps’ little reminder of Mr. Ed. You may remember that my Gramps went home to heaven in August. Grams send Elaine the horse, as well as a book that Gramps read every day during his illness. Special!
Bath toys, noise toys, and puzzles from the Hamiltons. Which one to play with first? Clothes, tights, puzzles, and a Fridge Farm from the Godbys.
The cash stash came from Uncle Evan. It came in a really cool card. Yup – he’s definitely the favorite uncle right now!
To be continued…
