A City Life For Me

Couldn’t resist this one since its a face I see multiple times a day!    Nehemiah loves all things boy and sports.  He is a very fast runner and gets easily discouraged when he doesn’t win!  He always wants his hair buzzed because he doesn’t like me to comb it.  He is almost OCD about a lot of things…which makes him fairly neat and organized.  He gets dressed and makes his bed first thing upon waking up every morning.  Nehemiah loves Bill Peet books and “Are You My Mother.”  His favorite movie (along with all of my kids) is Wild Kratts, and his favorite animal is wild horse.  (But if you ask him tomorrow the answer may be different!)  Nehemiah loves tacos and anything served with sour cream.  He can usually be easily located because he is always singing.  He tends to be monochromatic but is learning to add more color to his pictures.      These two play well together, although we are already hearing “I’m tall...

After Yellowstone and a meeting in Wyoming, Ben took the kids and I back to my parent’s house in Denver.  We stayed there for a month while Ben went and had some meetings in California alone.  We had two reasons for splitting up:  first, we couldn’t find housing for all of us in CA, and it would be very costly to live in a hotel for a month; and second, because Ben needed some time alone to write his doctrinal papers for ordination.  The time in one place gave us some stability, and the kids were even able to take swimming lessons! The twins turned three at the end of April.  Today I took them outside to snap a few pictures of them.  They had me smiling and cracking up the whole time!  This really is a fun stage {minus the potty training}, but having the twin dynamic inserted into the picture makes it all that much better! Liberty is a master of expression.  I am constantly laughing at her.  She has this curly, reddish hair that bounces a lot the morning after a bath.  She knows how to use it to her advantage, or to add spice to her attitude!  She “wuvs” everything, constrantly exclaiming in a very excited manner, “Oh, yes!  I wuv this one!”  She espcially loves to twirl in her church dress, but she also has a good dose of her mom’s klutziness (you can laugh at the mental picture!).  She is my veggie eater, and loves avocados in particular.  While usually the last one finished with a meal, she eats the best and the biggest variety.  The opposite of Nehem...
