Ukle Wessey
Elaine calls my brother Wesley “Ukle Wessey”. I’m thinking that if he ever finds the right girl and gets married…he will have a lot of kids. Because Wesley really likes kids. He doted on Elaine and Nolan during our time out west, and they loved being around him.
When we first arrived in Denver, Wesley came with Mom to the airport to pick us up. Then we went to his indoor soccer game. He was playing goalie.
We arrived in Denver on Wesley’s 23rd birthday. So we celebrated his birthday over a homemade peach cobbler with my grandparents and a couple of Wesley’s friends.
Wes, Nolan, Dad, Mom, & Elaine
I love this picture! I think she learned to talk on the phone from Wes…he is always on his phone too!
Wesley has a pet. A snake named Snoop. Elaine wanted to see the snake. Finally Wesley brought Snoop over for a visit. And then…wouldn’t you know it? Elaine wouldn’t get near him. She eventually did touch him – very quickly – with the tip of one little finger.
Nolan, on the other hand, was all about the snake. No fear at all! Except on Wesley’s part…fear that Nolan was going to pull Snoop’s head off. Nolan isn’t really known for being gentle!
One afternoon I was helping Mom in the office. Nolan woke up early from his nap. Before I could get there, Wesley had gone in to get Nolan and put him back to sleep! They had a good cuddle together.
I like Snoop! :) Growing up, we always had a black snake in the house (in a cage, of course). Ours was named Chester.... I still like snakes to this day.
