Church Workday
Ben had organized a church workday. Because of the jobs that had to be done, it really turned into workdays. On Thursday night two ladies shampooed the auditorium chairs. Then Ben and Chris Hyden, one of our teens, finished the job. On Friday night we took down everything from the classroom walls so they could be spackled and prepared for painting.
As Ben looked at the sign-up sheet of volunteers for Saturday, he began to think that we wouldn’t get everything done. What a blessing to arrive Saturday morning to a host of volunteers! Several men from the Russian congregation came to paint. Ladies came to organize the kitchen and feed the work crew. Teens came and worked very hard! Even Elaine helped out. We not only finished the task list, but also accomplished several things that were not on the list!
Shampooing the Chairs…
Cleaning the Baseboards…
Washing the Toys…
Painting the Classrooms & Nursery…
Painting the Outside of the Building…
Organizing the Kitchen…
Just hangin’ out and bein’ cute…
It was a long day and a lot of work, but when everyone pitched in it went by quickly. And now our church looks great!
