Vacation

Well…over two weeks later…let me write about our vacation!  We didn’t have anything on the agenda.  We were just getting out of the city.  Ben’s parents and sister still had to work, so we just relaxed and did our own thing during the day.  We spent a day at the lake.  The girls attended the Garden Tour.  We had lunch with friends.  We went to a baseball game.  We ate dinner on the porch.  It was wonderful.  The only regret I have is getting a really bad sunburn on the first day.

First time to the lake/beach. 

Beautiful, calm, serene, not-in-the-city-anymore view!

Nolan really enjoyed that he could touch bottom, sit, float, and not be washed away!  He also enjoyed dredging up leaves and rocks from the lake floor.

Elaine wanted to play in the sand, but it was more like gravel.  Guess we need to hit a real beach sometime!  {But I like the lake much better!}
