She’s a Smartie

Image
I had the jar of Smarites out today when I was doing some projects with Elaine… (She was counting the amount of Smarties to match the amount of the money) I neglected to put the jar away, and my other “little smartie” found it! She takes after Grandpa Godby – in looks and taste!

    Uncle Kenny got to meet his red-haired niece!  (And Aunt Bex too!) Nolan loved the vacuum at this age.  I could hardly get the floor done today – he was chasing me so fast.  Following in Brother’s footsteps! This is his toothless grin.  He does it when he is very pelased with himself.  He may take after the Hamilton/Kuenzi side, but he’s got Uncle Wesley’s smile! Um…yeah.  I’m not even sure.  Let’s just summarize it as “the middle child”.

A Tale of Two Water Bottles

Image
The twins got a hold of our water bottles last week during our trip to Alabama.  Talk about the perfect toy!  They fought over them, traded them, chased them, and chewed on them.  Liberty especially got very angry if Nehemiah took her bottle.  And I can’t get over how red her hair is in these pictures!     We are talking some serious baby fat.  These pictures don’t even begin to show the fat rolls and thunder thighs on this baby girl! I cracked up so much when I saw this picture!  Both of their expressions just kill me!  And it shows how Nehemiah is tall and lanky, but Liberty is fat and… fat!

Drinking through a straw           Liberty was the first to succeed at the straw, but Nehemiah does it better than she does! Sledding in all of this “Global Warming” we’ve been getting      N oodle N ecklaces for the letter N

Thankful Thursday–God’s Amazing Provision

This was a special week for our family.  God did something really big for us.  Ben is self-employed as a home improvement contractor.  It has been kinda up and down since Christmas.  Not many people want a construction zone in their house during the holidays.  For the last two weeks he hasn’t really worked at all.  We took the trip to Keysville, VA for our first deputation meeting by faith – because we didn’t have the money for the expenses.  God met the need and completely covered the cost of our trip through the love gifts of the two churches we were at. Last week I added up the amounts of our bills and we began to ask God specifically to provide this amount.  Ben tried to find work – he scoured Craigslist, he called some customers, he looked into delivering flowers for Valentine’s Day.  But each time the answer was no.  And while we really needed the work and the income, his time at home was very profitable during that time....

From the Broncos’ Super Flop   First Spaghetti!     Not too sure yet..    Bagel for breakfast…fried rice and grilled cheese for lunch…spaghetti for dinner.  “They’re like real people!”  (Daddy’s very words!) Liberty’s expressions were priceless.  Nehemiah smacked his lips all the way through dinner.  Liberty wore a lot of her spaghetti on her shirt, but she thoroughly enjoyed the meal.  {Her hands were stained orange for a little while afterwards}
