Ben is called to the pastoral ministry, and the goal of our family is to "Always Give Glory to God." We moved to Brooklyn, NY in June, 2010 where Ben is continuing his pastoral training at Bethel Baptist Fellowship. Eventually we would like to plant a new church in the City, if it is God's Will.
In June, 2011 we welcomed our son Nolan to the family. He is our little Brooklyn baby, but he didn't stay little for long! Elaine has always been on the small side, and Nolan is already on the very big side! Nolan is a happy, easy-going, smiling kiddo, and his big sister loves having a "beebee."
A little about myself: I have many hobbies, interests, and likes. I am involved in the ministry of my local church. I work in the nursery, help with Sunday School, and assist in the piano playing and special music. I have experience teaching children. Our family schedule revolves around serving in our church.
I love scrapbooking & card-making but I don't find time for it as much anymore. Couponing and bargain hunting have been my pursuits in order to live debt free and save money. I do love a good deal! I enjoy snow and relish the thought of winter beginning. I started selling Mary Kay Cosmetics so I could get a discount on my own products. I am addicted to cloth diapering and consider myself to be an almost-expert on the subject.
In short I am a purple-loving, piano-playing, Starbucks-drinking, cloth-diapering, snow-craving homemaker who enjoys cooking, loves being a Mommy, has too many purses, thinks daisies are the best, and is thrilled to FINALLY be living in New York City!
This blog is a conglomeration of everything I love - my amazing God, my wonderful family (but to be honest it's mostly about my kids!), pictures (it's my online scrapbook), recipes, Scripture verses, hymn histories, cloth diapers, quotes, New York City, and a little bit of politics.
