Wordless Wednesday

Image
Randomness from the week… She’s sitting up!  {Not crawling, though!} Nehemiah loes to lounge on his side, propped up on an elbow!  He’s got the Uncle Wesley smile going on, too! Peter Pan hats.  Nolan has been “flying” through the house so I thought he needed a hat, too.  My “superhero Lone Ranger”.  Yup – Nolan graduated from Tonto to the Lone Ranger recently!

Just Doin’ Some Computer Work

Image
Caught the twins playing with this toy computer.  Their expressions and motions cracked me up – just like me & Ben trying to do something together on the computer!  {I don’t always share very well, and Ben doesn’t always understand what I’m trying to do…} L: “I’m getting an error message.  I don’t know how to fix it.” N: “Huh?  I don’t know.  Did you try that button over there?” L: ”I’m working on it.  Don’t interrupt!” N:  “Let me try.  Just do this.” L:  “You can try, but it’s not going to work.” L: “See, I told you.  It’s still not working.  Let me just check this over here…” L: “Sometimes I just hate these machines.” L:  “Finally!  Got it working again!” N:  “I told you that would work.  You don’t ever listen to me!”

Insta Monday

Image
Since I got off Facebook for a little while, I have a little bit more time {not much, but a smidge} to spend on my blog.  I also haven’t been posting pictures for the Grandparents to enjoy, so here are a few of our Instagram shots from last week. A new stroller – side by side umbrella style.  Still determining if it is the solution/next step in our stroller “problem” but we’re giving it a shot!  I have been watching Craigslist for a couple of weeks now and this one came at the right time, the right price, and it is the denim model (which I preferred, but never thought we would be able to afford!) Deputation thank you cards arrived today Having trouble staying “on schedule.”  Seems like one is always getting sleepy as the other wants to play.  One is fussy and hungry when the other doesn’t have any interest in eating.

my {birthday}

Image
It’s been a long week.  Last Sunday we all stayed home sick.  I actually wasn’t sick, but someone needed to take care of all the other sickies.  Last Sunday was my birthday.  It wasn’t a big deal…I don’t like to make a big deal out of my birthday.  But it was kinda a bummer.  We had planned to go out for dinner after church, and Ben even had a babysitter. I went out first thing in the morning to get some medicine, and I stopped at Dunkin’ Donuts for breakfast on the way home.  That was my little birthday celebration.  When I got home, Ben and the kids had decorated the door and made me some birthday cards, complete with chocolate.  That was my present. {I had an early birthday present when Danielle was visiting last month}.   Elaine wrote her name all by herself I had received my birthday box from Mom earlier in the week, and saved the wrapped presents to open on my birthday.  Just what I wanted – jammies and new slipper...

Elaine’s “Real” 4th Birthday

Image
Elaine turned 4 two weeks ago.  We have been sick almost this entire time, and I haven’t even had a moment to think about sorting through her birthday pictures.  Her birthday is the 5th, but Grandma & Grampa Fezzie came down on the 2nd to celebrate with us.  This is all very complicated for a four year old to understand, especially when there are presents and party decorations, but its not “really” your birthday yet.  So Elaine expressed it as her “pretend” birthday when her grandparents were here, and her “real” birthday on the actual day.  It was cute.  And then, on November 6th, she woke up and asked me if she was still four.  Yes.  For a whole year, dear. I decorated the night before her “pretend” birthday with some tissue pom-poms and the birthday banner.  We started off the day at Elaine’s friend Havilah’s Fall Fun Fest while waiting for Grandma & Grampa to arrive Since we didn’t have a party, I did get som...

Bronx Kiddos

Image
Today we took a little trip up to the Bronx to look things over again and snap a few pictures for our video presentation.  I took a couple pics of the kids at the park.  The progression just cracked me up – this is what it takes to get four kids to all look at you at the same time! I was a little nervous to start with – I was putting my two babies on a park bench, over a concrete sidewalk, to sit with their siblings who are only 2 and 4.  And I was the only adult available to catch them in case of catastrophe – Ben was getting the van.  And I was behind the camera, trying to take a picture.  But we survived without the feared catastrophe! “Nolan, stop playing with the paci!” “Elaine, I’ll make Libs smile.  You look at Mommy!” “Nolan!  Let go of the paci!” {I remove the pacifier"} {I reposition both babies, who looked quite uncomfortable} {I wait for the dog to walk by – only Nehemiah thought I was interesting eno...
