There are a couple of projects which I finished a while ago and recently that I wanted to share with you. It’s just been hard finding the time to sit down and write about them! Before the twins were born I tried to get several projects out of the way for upcoming events. One of them was Mother’s Day. I found an idea on Pinterest for a cute little baby brag book. And while it came with a free printable {making the project even easier}, I had to create my own to reflect two babies and not just one! I made the books, and then after the twins arrived I just had to print some pictures and mail the books to my mom and mother-in-law for Mother’s Day. Abnother project I did was also Pinterest inspired . Ben’s brother Evan got married on May 25th. Ben was able to attend the wedding, but I stayed home with the kiddos and my parents came to stay with me. I made this print for Evan & Elise, then framed it with a double mat of blue & w...

We don’t do holidays very “big” in our home. It makes for a lot less pressure when things are already busy or out-of-our-normal-routine…like adding new twins to the family! For Mother’s Day I got to get a pedicure, but I did it the following weekend when we had time. For Father’s Day Ben picked a couple of favorite meals, we all took a nap, and we went to the park. It was relaxing and fun, without being stressful or spending a lot of money. Ben couldn’t decide between BLT’s or hamburgers…two simple meals that we enjoy but don’t eat very frequently. So we had BLT’s on Saturday and hambugrgers on Sunday. We also had some Samoa Brownies . This recipe for homemade caramels makes the brownies easier and less expensive. Seriously…these are amazing brownies! Thanks to my friend Erika for introducing us to them! Nolan set the table for breakfast on Sunday. We just had cereal, like every other day, but he was so excited to help out and d...

Well we have been at this family of six thing for over six weeks. I must say…it hasn’t been as hard as I expected. I feel incredibly blessed to have four good sleepers, a husband who does more housework than could ever be expected, and a mother’s helper every Thursday. Liberty and Nehemiah turned 6 weeks on Tuesday. They are falling into a sleep routine very naturally. As was the case with Elaine & Nolan, they are only waking once to eat at night. They also self-sooth very easily (at least for now) and I can lay them in the crib and let them go to sleep for naps. It hasn’t been a lot of work, and they don’t have colic. Ben says this looks like me and him – one scared to death, and one with her mouth open all the time! When I weighed the twins last week, Liberty was at 7.4 pounds and Nehemiah at 9 pounds! We are still exclusively breast feeding, but the babies drink well from a bottle so that Ben can help out with some feedings....
