Bicycles for Two
We just marked three years with our twins! I’m so thankful we were able to be “home” to celebrate their day. Grandma and Grampa Hamilton came down from MA and we went bowling. (We had introduced the kids to bowling when traveling through Indiana earlier this year, and they loved it!) Then we let the twins take a nap so they wouldn’t be huge grumpies for their birthday!
Nehemiah was great at giving the ball a big shove!
Liberty struggled to carry the ball, but she would patiently watch it slowly roll down the lane until it hit a pin or two, then she would cheer for herself with arms in the air!
We had been watching and purchasing second hand bikes for the kids over the last month. We found some great deals, and could hardly wait to give the twins their first little bike with training wheels! (Elaine got a bike for last birthday in November, and being in the country has given her the chance to master riding without trainers.) It was threatening rain, so we did the big bike reveal as soon as Libs and Nehemiah woke up from their nap!
Nehemiah figured out pedaling right away. Liberty is easily distracted by the baby doll seat, and the bell from Grandma & Grandpa Godby!
We enjoyed a few more presents and cake! It was the best, easiest-going, relaxed, enjoyable birthday celebration we’ve pulled off yet! I’m so glad!
New books from Miss Christine!
They were delighted! (I had had some stress about making a fabulous cake, but this is not really my forte. Everyone always wants chocolate cake with chocolate icing, and I always revert to decorating with M&M’s).
