My “bestest” girlfriend Danielle DeVane came to visit! She lives in Florida and we have not spent a decent amount of time together since college, except for the little bit of time at my wedding in October 2007, and a few days in July, 2008. We enjoyed the girl stuff…shopping, city sites, ice cream, and Elaine.
On Friday we drove two hours to Donny & Erika Meader’s house, and Samantha Kane joined us from Maine. The four of us were pals in college. It was so great to be together again. We all got to meet Kevin Douglas, Erika’s 3 week old baby boy. We talked about going out, but in the end we spent the whole day talking and catching up. So much fun!

Elaine really liked baby Kevin. She made her excited noises (like when she sees the kitty). She wanted to touch, but she hasn’t learned to be gentle. When Elaine gets excited she pounds on things. She tried to pound on Kevin’s head, but I caught her just in time!
